In recent years, holograms of famous musical artists such as Tupac and Michael Jackson have appeared at festivals all over the world that have come years after each of their deaths. While the science behind holograms is still evolving, it became an idea when The Jetsons had a hologram Christmas Tree. While today we aren’t decking the halls with holograms, they are used for mass communications and entertainment and Microsoft’s HoloLens project is getting us closer to having holograms in everyday life.
