Spring-energized Teflon seals.

VS Series spring-energized seals are designed for use in high- or low-pressure dynamic reciprocating or rotary applications. The V-spring delivers a moderate but progressive and higher load than the C-Series spring, but much less load than the H-Series spring over a wide deflection range. The standard VS Series spring-energized seal lip is chamfered to provide for easy installation and lubrication in dynamic sealing applications resulting in extended seal and mating surface hardware life. vs_series

VS Series with a scraper lip design is best suited for abrasive medias or contaminated fluids. Due to the absence of chamfered seal lips, particular attention must be paid during installation, and proper lead-in chamfers on the hardware components are required to prevent seal damage.

The springs are made from 300 series stainless steel or other alloys, and, combined with the right seal jacket material, provide low friction and corrosion resistance in severe service applications over a wide temperature range. Standard and custom seal sizes and materials are available.
