The 2016 NFPA Milwaukee Regional Meeting, scheduled for Tuesday, September 27 at the Milwaukee School of Engineering, will feature two experts from the industry with experience and solid information regarding important challenges that fluid power users may encounter.
“The Value of Leak Testing in Preventing Hydraulic Fluid Leaks” will be presented by Thomas Braun of Fastest Inc., and “Contamination Control and Clean Hydraulic Hose Assembly Procedures” will be presented by Bruce Riley of Ultra Clean Technologies Corp. Both topics and presentations illustrate the strides the industry has taken in advancing the reliability and performance of fluid power systems.
In addition, all attendees are welcome to tour the MSOE Fluid Power Lab at the end of the meeting program.
Finally, Denise Rockhill, NFPA’s International Standards Development Manager and Secretary, ISO/TC 131 and U.S. Technical Advisory Groups, will be on hand to answer questions about the fluid power industry standardization process. Engineers are needed to help develop fluid power ISO Standards and represent the U.S. fluid power voice at the global table. Current standards committee members are also encouraged to attend. Rockhill will demonstrate the NFPA Standards HUB and other ISO tools available to assist committee members in fully understanding and participating in the standards development process.
