Freudenberg continued its positive business development in India with sales increasing by 3.7 percent from Rs. 1,497 crore in 2014 to Rs. 1,553 crore in 2015. “We will continue to grow in India, much faster than in most other regions of the world,” said Dr. Jörg Matthias Großmann, Regional Representative India, at the annual press conference in Bengaluru.

One important growth field is the automotive industry. Among others, the Group currently supplies chemical specialties, filtration products, nonwovens and seals to all major automotive OEMs in India through its subsidiaries and has four R&D centers in Mysore, Mohali and Pune and fourteen production sites. By means of examples, Freudenberg illustrated at the press conference how it lives up to its brand promise in India. Viju Parameshwar, President Klüber Lubrication India, presented excellent products, solutions and services from Freudenberg Chemical Specialities for the automotive industry. Madhur Aneja, President Vibracoustic, spoke about innovative technologies from Vibracoustic, a global market leader in vibration control components for the automotive industry. Dhirendra Chaudhary, CEO and Managing Director Freudenberg Filtration Technologies, presented sustainable filtration solutions designed to create better air quality and living conditions. Finally, Jatin Gala, COO Freudenberg Gala Household Products, explained how the company’s innovations make everyday life in Indian households easier.

Freudenberg is continually investing in its R&D activities in India: “Our Indian R&D facilities develop products tailored to the needs of our local customers,” said Dr. Großmann. “It is part of our Group strategy to make globally developed innovations suitable for regional use.”
